Mid Year Review
Tuesday, July 01, 2008
Happy Canada Day!!!
We are at the midway point of 2008 and time to review some of the goals I set at the beginning of the year.
We'll start with what is going well.
I crossed the Atlantic in May and had a spectacular time in Europe in Andrew. My top 3 experiences were probably Mdina, the Barcelona FC stadium tour and being under the Eifel tower.
I think "starting to invest in stocks" was on there too as goal. So Andrew and I now have shares in BNS, Fortis, Enbridge and CIBC...I think...(he's in charge).
Ok so onto the car fund. We had gotten halfway there to $5000 but an impulse buy dropped us down (more on that later). We did some test driving and think we have it narrowed down to two... the practical option: 2009 Matrix and the uber cool option: 2006 Audi A3. Well little blue is still chuggin' along so no rush in that department.
My goals for work are going OK... we had a fantastic May that gives us an outside shot to hit some productions goals, but we still need to pick it up.
Oh yeah that impulse buy...we've bought another condo. This is a new domicile building near Dow's Lake. Will be ready next winter...2 bedrooms and den.
Hopefully the rest of the year will be fantastic. We have trips planned to Chicago and Vancouver.
And probably the best news of all...some new arrivals in next coming weeks will make me an aunt a few times over : ) can't wait to get my hands on the little buggers!
